September 24, 2016 - Bruening Clinches Deery Brothers Points Title
Behind the wheel of the Minnowa Construction #16 Super Late Model, Tyler Bruening made the trip to West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) on Saturday for the season finale in the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series. Drawing 32 entries for the Ideal Ready Mix Liberty 100, Bruening posted a Top 10 finish in the main event. September 8, 2016 - Top 5 Finish for Bruening at Boone Speedway
Following the Deery Brother Summer Series, Tyler Bruening headed to Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) on Thursday night for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s General Stores. With 33 Super Late Models signed in, Tyler scored a 3rd place finish in his heat locking his spot into the $2,000-to-win feature. Landing a Top 5 finish in the 30-lapper, Bruening posted a 4th place finish behind Jeff Aikey, Joel Callahan, and Jason Rauen with Joe Zrostlik coming in 5th.

September 3, 2016 - Tyler Bruening Captures $7,500 Payday With Yankee Dirt Track Classic Win at Farley Speedway
Competing in the two-day Yankee Dirt Track Classic, Tyler Bruening traveled to Farley Speedway (Farley, Iowa) on Friday night for the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series sanctioned program. In a stout field of 50 Super Late Models, Bruening placed 5th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the opening night $2,000-to-win feature, Tyler scored a 4th place finish edging his way into the main event. Breaking into the Top 10, Bruening worked his way up to a 6th place finish in the 50-lap A-Main.

Returning on Saturday night, Tyler landed a runner-up finish in his heat behind Chad Holladay giving him the 5th-starting position for the 100-lap A-Main. Charging his way to the front, Tyler captured his third victory of the season and a $7,500 payday. Matt Ryan, Chad Holladay, Jeff Aikey, and Ray Guss Jr. rounded out the Top 5 finishers in the Deery Brothers sanctioned show. (Tom Macht Photo)
