September 23, 2017 - Podium Finish in Liberty 100 at West Liberty
Friday night found Tyler Bruening in action at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) for the IMCA Deery Brother Summer Series sanctioned weekend. With 32 cars signed in for the Ideal Ready Mix Liberty 100, Bruening followed up the second fastest time overall in qualifying with a heat race victory. Rolling off 3rd for the $5,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Tyler jumped up one spot posting a 2nd place finish behind Justin Kay with Jake Neal, Andy Eckrich, and Nick Marolf completing the Top 5 finishers.

September 16, 2017 - Tyler Bruening Attends Knoxville Nationals
On Thursday night Tyler Bruening headed to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Knoxville Nationals. In a field of 56 cars, Bruening came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Tyler slipped back to a 20th place outing ending his night early.

Returning on Friday for another round of preliminary action, Bruening landed a 3rd place finish in his heat race locking him into the 17th-starting position for the $7,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping five spots in the 25-lap affair, Tyler posted a 22nd place finish.

Wrapping up the 14th annual Knoxville Nationals on Saturday, Tyler had one last shot at the $40,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 6 into the 100-lap affair, Bruening came up one spot short with a 7th place finish.

September 2, 2017 - Top 5 Finish in Yankee Dirt Classic at Farley
Tyler Bruening returned to Farley Speedway (Farley, Iowa) on Friday night for the two-day 40th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. With a stout field of 54 Super Late Models signed in for the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series sanctioned weekend, Bruening followed up the fourth fastest time overall with a 4th place finish in his heat race. After capturing a consolation victory, Tyler earned the 14th-starting position for the feature on Saturday night. With $10,000 on the line, Bruening advanced ten spots in the 100-lapper to place 4th behind Chris Simpson, Joel Callahan, and Justin Kay with Chad Holladay coming in 5th. (Tom Macht photo)
