After Mother Nature wiped out Tuesday’s program, Bruening returned on Wednesday night kicking off the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series season. In a field of 51 cars, Tyler secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Dennis Erb Jr. Rolling off 12th, Bruening was running in 18th when officials called the feature on lap-26 due to limited visibility from the fog.

On Thursday night, Bruening got caught behind a tangle that dropped him back to a 10th place finish in his heat. Needing to place 3rd or better in his B-Main to make the feature, Tyler posted a 9th place outing.

In a field of 46 cars on Friday, Tyler fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the feature, Bruening grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot locking him into the 21st-starting position for the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Tyler Bruening dropped one spot in the 50-lap affair to place 22nd.

Bringing the 47th annual DIRTcar Nationals to a close on Saturday, Bruening recorded a 6th place finish in his heat giving him one final shot at the finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 3 into the show, Tyler logged a 4th place finish bringing an early end to his night.
