July 28, 2018 - Bruening Bags Two-Win Weekend at Hamilton County Speedway; Records $1,600 Payday
Tuesday night saw Tyler Bruening in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) competing in a field of 23 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries. Following the fifth fastest time overall in qualifying, Bruening posted a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Mike Marlar positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Tyler made hard-contact with the wall on lap-32 but held on to place 14th.

The following night at Fayette County Speedway (West Union, Iowa) for the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series sanctioned contest, Bruening earned the 25th-starting position for the feature via preliminary events. Breaking into the Top-5, Tyler advanced through the field 22 spots reeling in an impressive 3rd place finish behind Todd Cooney and Justin Kay with Chad Holladay and Darrel DeFrance completing the Top-5 finishers. On Saturday night Bruening returned to action at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster, Iowa) for the event hosting two Super Late Model features. Rolling off 10th for the make-up feature from July 25th, Tyler made a last lap pass over Jason Hahne scoring his fourth win of the season and a $1,000 payday. Hahne, Darrell DeFrance, Ben Seemann, and Kirby Schultz rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Later that evening, Tyler gained three spots in his heat to pick up the win. Starting the feature in 2nd, Tyler led wire-to-wire  claiming his fifth win of the season over Darrell DeFrance, Ryan Griffith, Jason Hahne, and Paul Nagle. July 21, 2018 - Bruening Attends Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway
Tyler Bruening made the trek to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) on Friday night for the 8th annual Silver Dollar Nationals. Drawing 47 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for two rounds of heat races, Tyler jumped up two spots in his first heat reeling in a runner-up finish behind Ricky Weiss. Dropping one spot in his second 11-lap heat, Bruening logged a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday night. (Heath Lawson photo)

Starting on the pole of his B-Main for one final shot at the $53,000-to-win main event, Tyler jumped out to a comfortable lead until he was taken out by a lap-car ending his weekend early.

July 7, 2018 - Runner-up Finish at 34 Raceway; Bruening Competes With World of Outlaws
On Tuesday night Tyler Bruening returned with the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series for the $2,000 top prize at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa). With 37 Super Late Models registered in for action, Tyler locked his spot into the A-Main with a heat race victory. On Friday night Bruening returned to action at Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) competing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. In a field of 28 cars, Tyler posted a 4th place finish in his heat positioning him 12th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Losing five spots in the 40-lapper, Tyler Bruening logged a 17th place outing.

The following night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the 39th annual Gopher 50, Tyler edged his way into the finale with the 6th and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Tyler Bruening held his spot for all 50-laps to place 17th.
