July 27, 2019 - Tyler Bruening Tallies a Pair of Top 5 Finishes
1On Wednesday afternoon Tyler Bruening was one 27 IMCA Deery Brother Summer Series entries signed in at Fayette County Speedway (West Union, Iowa) for the Fayette County Fair Race. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Tyler locked into the 8th-starting position for the A-Main. Gaining three spots in the 40-lap affair, Bruening posted a 4th place finish behind Eric Pollard, Andy Eckrich, and John Emerson with Joel Callahan coming in 5th.

1Returning to action on Sunday, Bruening headed to Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) competing in a field of 15 cars. Following a 2nd place finish in his heat, Tyler scored a runner-up finish in the feature behind Jeremiah Hurst with John Emerson, Eric Pollard, and Luke Goedert rounding out the Top-5.

July 20, 2019 - Bruening Captures Malvern Bank Opener at I-80 Speedway
1Tyler Bruening pocketed $5,300 for his Thursday night victory with the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series (SLMRS) at I-80 Speedway in his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Bennett Explosives/ Bruening Rock Products/ Capital Race Car/ Clements Racing Engine entry.

The win marked his sixth of the season.

“Even though I’d liked to have had better finishes in the Lucas Oil features, it was still a great weekend for our team,” Bruening said. “Anytime you can beat Kyle Berck anywhere, much less I-80 Speedway, you’ve done something, and I was able to get the job done Thursday night. We battled a tight condition in the Lucas Oil car throughout the weekend, but we learned a lot racing with such a high-caliber of competition.

“The plan is to head to Fayette County Speedway with the Deery Brothers Series this Wednesday night, where we’ll try our best to win the $2,000 top prize.”

On Thursday evening Tyler Bruening visited I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska), where he was puling double duty with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series (SLMRS) during the ninth annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals opener.

In SLMRS action, Tyler scored an 8-lap, heat race victory, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the feature. Overtaking race-leader Kyle Berck for the top spot on lap 26, Bruening went on to lead the final nine laps as he cruised to his sixth win of the season. Berck, Tad Pospisil, Josh Leonard, and Ben Schaller completed the Top-5 finishers. Bruening pocketed a $5,300 payday for his performance. (Todd Boyd photo)

In a field of 45 LOLMDS entries, Bruening locked his spot into the opening night $12,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Starting in the pole position, Tyler led the first circuit, but ultimately slipped back to a 16th-place finish in the 50-lap affair as he battled a tight racecar.

1Returning on Friday afternoon for the preliminary events for the two-day Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals, Bruening recorded a pair of third-place finishes in his two heat races, which locked him into the seventh-starting spot for the finale on Saturday evening. With $53,000 on the line, Tyler Bruening raced in the Top 10 early in the feature before ultimately registering a 23rd-place finish.

July 13, 2019 - Runner-up Finish at Independence Motor Speedway
1Friday night found Tyler Bruening in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) competing in a field of 20 cars. Gaining four spots in his heat, Bruening captured a 10-lap heat race victory which positioned him 7th on the starting grid for the $1,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Tyler improved three spots reeling in a 4th place finish behind Justin Kay, Cory Dumpert, and Matt Ryan with Brian Harris coming in 5th.

1On Saturday evening at Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa) for a pair of features, Bruening came in 2nd in the first feature and 6th in the second feature.

July 6, 2019 - Top 5 Finish with World of Outlaws at Independence
Tyler Bruening was one of 21 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in at Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa) on Friday night for the $10,000 top prize. Following the seventh fastest lap in time trials, Bruening scored a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Chris Simpson locking his spot into the opening night feature. Gaining one spot in the 50-lap affair, Tyler landed a 5th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Chris Simpson, Chase Junghans, and Brent Larson. (Mike Ruefer photo) 

1The following night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the Gopher 50, Tyler secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with a 4th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 10th, Bruening was an early retiree from the 50-lapper after running into mechanical trouble on lap-36.
