March 24, 2019 - Tyler Bruening Follows World of Outlaws to Volunteer State
On Friday evening Tyler Bruening made the trek to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) kicking off the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader. With 37 Super Late Models registered in for action, Bruening came in 15th fastest in his qualifying group before improving one spot in his heat to place 7th. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Tyler fell short with a 6th place outing.

The following night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee), Tyler came up two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 6th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for one last shot at the $12,000-to-win finale, Bruening fell one spot short of a transfer position with a 4th place finish.

On Sunday Tyler stopped at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned March Madness. In a field of 30 cars, Tyler followed up the ninth fastest time overall in qualifying with an 8th place finish in his heat. Placing 5th in his B-Main, Bruening earned the 21st-starting position for the main event. With $12,000 on the line, Tyler Bruening jumped up two spots in the 60-lapper to place 19th.
