September 14, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Second Round of Knoxville Nationals
1Tyler Bruening invaded Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday evening kicking off the 16th annual Knoxville Nationals. In a field of 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries, Tyler scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Josh Richards which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win preliminary feature. Improving four spots in the 25-lap affair, Bruening reeled in a 6th place finish.

The following night, Bruening recorded the eighth fastest lap in his time trial group before placing 3rd in his heat. On Saturday evening Tyler was pulling double duty for the final night of the 16th annual Knoxville Nationals and the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series sanctioned Mobile Tech 22. With preliminary finishes on Thursday and Friday determining the starting grid for the $40,000-to-win finale, Bruening locked into the 8th-starting position. Losing ten spots in the 100-lap affair, Tyler Bruening logged an 18th place outing.

During the same night, Bruening posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Ricky Thornton Jr. which positioned him 4th on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win main event. September 2, 2019 - Podium Finish at Boone Speedway
Monday night found Tyler Bruening in action at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) competing in a field of 35 IMCA Deery Brother Summer Series entries for the Labor Day special. Following a 4th place finish in his heat, Bruening captured a 12-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Passing ten cars in the 50-lap feature, Bruening reeled in a 3rd place finish behind Ricky Thornton Jr. and Justin Kay with Nick Marolf and Terry Neal rounding out the Top-5. (Tom Macht photo)
