April 23, 2021 - Fifth-place finish in World of Outlaws stop at Richmond
Friday night saw Tyler Bruening return with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Ky.). April 17, 2021 - Bruening records a trio of Top-10 MLRA finishes
Taking part in Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) action in his home state of Iowa, Tyler Bruening visited Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon to compete on the quarter-mile oval. With 40 Late Models entered, Tyler posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the opening night feature. 1The following night at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) to kick off the Slocum 50 weekend, Bruening locked his spot into the A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Billy Moyer. With $5,000 on the line, Tyler dropped two spots to place eighth.

On Saturday night, Tyler came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth-place outing. Outdueling Frank Heckenast Jr. to pick up the win in his B-Main, Bruening earned the 17th-starting position for the $10,555-to-win Slocum 50. Breaking into the Top-10, Tyler passed seven cars to register a 10th-place finish.

April 10, 2021 - Ninth place finish in Bristol Bash finale
1Tyler Bruening was one of 29 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries invited to Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday evening as the famed facility covered the half-mile oval in dirt for the two-day Bristol Bash. After a tire blow-out in practice on Thursday put the team behind the eight-ball, Bruening followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat on Friday with a 10-lap consolation victory. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Tyler passed five cars in the 40-lap affair to finish 12th.

April 3, 2021 - 13th place finish in Illini 100 opener at Farmer City
Friday night found Tyler Bruening in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) as 46 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries assembled for the two-day Illini 100. Recording a runner-up finish behind Mike Spatola in his heat, Bruening locked into the redraw for the opening night feature. March 26, 2021 - Bruening scores sixth place finish in preliminary feature at Cherokee
1Skyline Motorsports pilot Tyler Bruening returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Friday afternoon as the series invaded The Palmetto State for the doubleheader weekend at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.). With 43 Late Models entered as the field was split in two for a pair of preliminary features, Tyler improved five spots in his heat race to register a fourth-place finish. Earning the eighth-starting position for the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature to kick off the Rock Gault Memorial weekend, Bruening improved two spots in the 25-lapper to finish sixth.

Persistent rain overnight postponed Saturday night’s $40,000-to-win finale to a later date to be named.

March 6, 2021 - Tennessee Tipoff brings Bruening to Smoky Mountain
On Saturday afternoon, Tyler Bruening was one of 51 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the ninth annual Tennessee Tipoff. With the Top 3 finishers from each heat getting locked into the A-Main, Bruening posted a fifth place finish, sending him into the B-Main. February 12, 2021 - Bruening tallies four Top-10 finishes in DIRTcar Nationals; departs Volusia in fourth in World of Outlaws standings
1Tyler Bruening returned to action on Monday night at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) for the opening round of the 50th annual DIRTcar Nationals. In a field of 51 cars, Bruening posted a runner-up finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $7,000 on the line, Tyler dropped one spot in the 30-lapper to finish 10th.

The following night, Tyler secured his spot into the $7,000-to-win A-Main with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off 15th, Bruening was an early retiree from the race on the fifth lap after bringing out the caution with his car leaking fluids.

February 2, 2021 - 11th place finish at Bubba Raceway Park
On Monday night, Tyler Bruening followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) to wrap up the Florida Speedweeks slate with the doubleheader. Drawing 49 cars, Tyler came in sixth in his heat before placing fifth in his B-Main. Receiving a provisional into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Bruening was involved in a tangle on the fourth lap but marched through the field several positions in the remaining distance to place 11th.

1After failing to qualify for the feature in his heat race on Tuesday, Bruening logged a seventh place finish in his B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the finale. With $10,000 on the line, Tyler gained three spots in the 40-lap affair to register a 24th-place outing.

January 30, 2021 - Runner-up finish in fifth round of Winternationals at East Bay
1Tyler Bruening mounted a great charge in Friday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at East Bay Raceway Park.

Behind the wheel of his Skyline Motorsports No. 16 Bennett Explosives/ Bruening Rock Products/ Capital Race Cars Super Late Model, Bruening advanced from the 11th-starting position to a solid runner up finish.

"We've been really good. ... earlier this week we got tangled up in some stuff I didn't really think was our doing. We've had really good. It's just up to the driver now to put it all together," he said. "I'm thrilled right now."

1For the second stop of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Florida Speedweeks, Tyler Bruening headed to East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla. on Monday to kick off the 45th Annual Wrisco Industries Winternationals.

The following night, Tyler edged his way into the $5,000-to-win feature with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 13th, Bruening clawed forward three spots in the 30-lap affair to register a 10th-place finish.

On Wednesday, Bruening came in seventh in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Tyler fell short of a transfer position with a ninth-place outing.

In a field of 78 cars on Thursday, Tyler followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with a 10-lap consolation victory. With $7,000 on the line in the feature, Bruening gained four spots in the 40-lapper to finish 17th.

On Friday night, Bruening laid down the ninth fastest lap in his time trial group before placing second in his heat race behind teammate Shane Clanton. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 11th, Tyler weaved through the field nine spots to secure a runner-up finish behind Brandon Overton. Tim McCreadie, Devin Moran, and Shane Clanton rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Bringing the 45th Annual Wrisco Industries Winternationals to a close on Saturday, Tyler had to resort to a provisional for the $15,000-to-win finale after failing to obtain a transfer spot in his heat and B-Main. Improving eight spots in the 50-lap affair, Bruening recorded a 20th-place finish.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will conclude their Florida Speedway with a doubleheader on Monday and Tuesday at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala. A full program is on tap each night, highlighted by a $10,000-to-win main event.

December 15, 2020 - Bruening tallies three-win 2020 season; Sunshine Nationals at Volusia to open 2021
With the Covid-19 pandemic wiping out several of his slated dates early in the 2020 season, Tyler Bruening competed in a total of 55 events behind the wheel of his Skyline Motorsports No. 16 Late Model entry. He amassed three wins, seven Top-5 finishes, and 12 Top-10 outings.

His 2021 season will kick off on January 14th on Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) for the inaugural Sunshine Nationals. Once the tripleheader is complete, he will head to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on January 22nd for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season-opener.

October 17, 2020 - Bruening records 17th place finish in DTWC, finishes second in LOLMDS Rookie of the Year chase
1Friday night saw Tyler Bruening return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) to wrap up his first year with the national series. Drawing 63 Late Models for the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship, Tyler dropped one spot in his heat race to place eighth.

Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the A-Main, Bruening logged a 10th place outing, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship. Rolling off 28th, Tyler marched forward 11 spots in the 100-lap affair to register a 17th place outing.

Tyler finished 12th in the final LOLMDS point standings and second in the Rookie of the Year chase.

October 3, 2020 - 18th place finish in Pittsburgher 100 at PPMS
1After Mother Nature wiped out Friday night’s event at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio), Tyler Bruening followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) for the 32nd annual Pittsburgher 100. After falling one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat, Bruening grabbed the third and final transfer spot in his B-Main. Starting the $20,000-to-win Pittsburgher 100 in 21st, Tyler clawed forward three positions in the caution-filled 100-lapper to place 18th.

September 26, 2020 - Jackson 100 weekend brings Bruening to Brownstown
1Taking part in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) doubleheader, Tyler Bruening and Skyline Motorsports headed to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) on Friday for the Jackson 100 weekend. Drawing a stout field of 59 cars for the Night Before the Jackson, Bruening came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Scoring a runner-up finish behind Steve Casebolt, Tyler locked into the 23rd-starting position for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Bruening gained three spots to place 20th.

The following night, Tyler followed up a 9th place finish in his heat with a sixth place finish in his B-Main. Receiving a provisional into the $15,000-to-win Jackson 100, Bruening was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 64.

September 19, 2020 - 18th place finish in I-80 Nationals finale
1Tyler Bruening returned to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) on Thursday night to compete in a field of 46 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the I-80 Nationals, which was replacing the Knoxville Nationals due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Following a seventh place finish in his heat, Bruening fell short of a transfer spot into the opening night feature with a fifth place outing in his B-Main.
